Life Savers:  The Red Cross honored two Colonie Police officers at a ceremony on Friday, March 4, 2016 for their life-saving actions at Bella Napoli Bakery on Christmas Eve.  Pictured from left are honorees Officer Joe Valiquette and Deputy Chief Michael Woods with Supervisor Paula Mahan and Colonie Police Chief Jon Teale.

State of the Town: Supervisor Paula Mahan delivered her 2016 State of the Town address January 21 both at an Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce event and a Town Board meeting later that day. NYS Government Q&A: The Town’s Youth Advisory Board learned about the state legislative process  March 3, 2016  at a question and answer session with Assemblyman Phil Steck, 110th Assembly District (second row, third from left).  Made up of students from the Town’s three high schools – CBA, Colonie Central, and Shaker High – the Youth Advisory Board also performs service projects benefiting the community.

EMS Actions: The February 27, 2016 Town Board meeting saw action on several new EMS appointments and promotions.  From left, first two rows, Robert Elling (retiring paramedic), Christopher Rench (promoted to Captain), Christopher Kostyun (promoted to Asst.
