READATHON GUESTS
Thank you to all who came together and read for 330 hours to benefit
the Schoharie Public Library! We earned 50 brand new books to replace
those lost after the devastation of Hurricane Irene. Director Cathy
Caiazzo gave us a tour of the refurbished children’s room and a
BIG THANK YOU to Colonie families!

CONTEST WINNERS
Congratulations to Anne and Madelon Swinton! They won a basket filled
with fun family activities in our contest this summer. Any patron who

COLLECTIONS
Have a hobby of collecting some favorite things? Set them up in our Display
Case! Whether its baseball cards, beads, water globes, or Hot Wheels,
we would love to show them off for everyone to enjoy. Schedule a time
at the Youth Services Desk.
BOOKMARK CONTEST
WINNERS 2012-2013
Thank you to the talented artists who entered
our 14th Annual Bookmark Contest! The Head of the Art Department of
North Colonie, Anne Manzella, selected our winners from two age groups:
6-9 years and 10-14 years. We will showcase the winning bookmarks
on our website and in Youth Services, and distribute free bookmarks
each month. The winners of the 2012-2013 Contest received commemorative
editions of their bookmarks, certificates, and prizes at our Finale
on August 16. Congratulations to our 2012-2013 winners:

VOTED BEST
CHILDREN'S LIBRARY!
For the ninth consecutive year, Youth
Services has been named the "Best Children's Library in the Capital
District" in the annual Times Union poll! Readers from around the
area voted for their favorite, and we are so pleased to have been selected.
Thank you to our patrons for supporting us. We aim to continue to improve
our services to you.
