Alvin Gamble


A resident of Colonie since the age of five, Alvin enjoyed playing baseball at Babe Ruth Park, bowling at Red Wood Bowling Lanes, and playing basketball at Colonie Village Community Center.

Alvin’s first job was working for the Parks and Recreation Department of Colonie where he learned many life skills that carried on into his adult life. Alvin graduated from Colonie Central High School in the Class of 1979 and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1983 where he had a dual-major in Criminal Justice and Sociology.

Alvin has enjoyed a fulfilling and long career at the National Grid energy company (previously Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation) for 39 years.
