Community Development Block Grant COVID-19 Funds

In response to the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19) the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development notified the Town of Colonie that is has received Community Development Block Grant (CDBG-CV) funds to be used to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19). These allocations were authorized by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), Public Law 116-136, which was signed by President Trump on March 27, 2020, to respond to the growing effects of this historic public health crisis.

The Affordable Housing Partnership of the Capital Region (AHP) has CDBG-CV funds available to assist Town of Colonie homeowners who are delinquent with their mortgage as a result of the loss of income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Click here for additional information.

The Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York has CDBG-CV funds available to assist Town of Colonie renters with rent and utility payments to alleviate financial pressure on low/moderate income households due to COVID-10 pandemic.
